Kevin Mocogni is an associate at Falkenberg Ives and a member of the firm's commercial litigation, healthcare litigation, and professional liability practices. He focuses his practice on healthcare litigation and arbitration, counseling healthcare clients on compliance issues, and defending lawyers and accountants in professional liability matters.
Mr. Mocogni also has experience litigating breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, negligence, and employment related causes of action, as well as advising clients on a variety of legal issues that affect business strategy.
Mr. Mocogni handles all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts, including trying cases, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, participating in settlement conferences and mediations, and appealing matters. Mr. Mocogni develops positive working relationships with clients and works closely with them to achieve efficient solutions to complex legal matters.
Prior to joining Falkenberg Ives, Mr. Mocogni worked for several years at a boutique law firm in Chicago where he handled an array of commercial litigation cases and employment matters. He also clerked for Hon. Shelley Sutker-Dermer of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
Education
Mr. Mocogni received a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Notre Dame. He received his J.D. in 2008 from Notre Dame Law School.
In 2008, Mr. Mocogni was admitted to the Illinois bar. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for Northern District of Indiana, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
